10 months and counting

you have been gone,
almost 10 months now,
and yet all i have,
is a few memories of you.

i had thought you would beat it,
grandpa you wer strong,
i had felt,
that youd have that cancer beat,
before to terribly long,
but it seems that sadly,
i had been wrong,
i guess it turns out,
it had been,
just to strong.

Now that the cancer,
has had you beat,
into God's arms,
you must now meet,
and even though,
no longer are you here,
nor there,
at the same time,
you are still everywhere.

we hold you in our hearts,
like a becon of light,
and never will your love,
stray from our sights,
you are gone now,
and i know that it bites,
but i also know,
i shall se you again,
someday,
weather far or near,
it matters not,
for it is clear,
that deep into my heart,
you are still here.
