Poem Commentary

DEDICATED AT THE TIME 17 YEARS MARRIAGE

17 YEARS LATER

17 YEARS LATE FROM THE DAY WE FIRST MET,
I MELT FROM YOUR TOUCH EVEN STILL YET,
BUTTERFLIES FROM THE EXCITMENT YOU MAKE ME FEEL,
ONCE BEING MY FANTASY HAS NOW BECOME REAL,
THE POUNDING OF MY HEART WHENEVER YOU ARE NEAR,
LAYING IN YOUR ARMS NOT HAVING ANY FEAR,
NEVER WILL I EVER REGRET OUR YEARS TOGETHER,
MY HEART GOES ON LOVING YOU
ALWAYS AND FOREVER,

I really like this poem. it gos to show that love can be forever if you take the time to work on it.

17 years has a long period of ones live, but the love will never go away -

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
