A Child's Dream
If you had a dream, what would it be?
A dream for a better future, a dream about you and me!
If I had a dream, I tell you what it would be about.
Cause I dream this dream every night when I go to sleep.
Over and over again!
My dream seems to never end.
In this dream of mine, everything would be just fine.
All the children in this world would be loved.
Loved and cherished with no limitations.
No more tears and no more fears.
No more lonely nights when their parents have a fight.
No more tears and no more fears.
Children are the future.
Why can’t you see?
And why are you still hurting me?
Punishment you give to me by taking away my food and the love you once used to have for me. You lock
me in the closet, and close the door.
Leaving me in the dark, knowing that I’m afraid.
I am an Inconvenience to you now.
But not at first! When I was born you made the promise to me that you would love and cherish me.
You would give the world to me, and all the things you never did have.
How could you lie to me like this?
Please let me be the child god wanted me to be.
Don’t hurt me anymore. Just set me free.
Love me with all of your heart.
Stop the pain and the anger that I feel inside of me for you.
Cause I am only a child for now.
Don’t lock me in the closet anymore or take away my food.
Just love me, and I promise that I will be good.
