    Poem Commentary

An for everyone wondering if I am suicidal, wellk, I'm not. I have had my stages in life (such as when I wrote this), but I have since gone to counciling and am at peace with myself. I am content.

    A Clean Slate

Fear is just a state of mind
Death is just a state of life
    Innocence, a state of being
All dissolve at point of knife
    All that mattered
    All that was
Drip slowly down the drain because
The cut you've made is much to deep
I'm out of mind, I'm losing sleep
This blade, reflection of my fate
The key to help me clean my slate
    Color washes from my face
I finally have found my place
Lying in a pool of red
The final place I rest my head

The ironically sad tragedy of the ultimate, and final human mistake... I can't imagine my only legacy for being here engraved across my tombstone: "Here lies the ultimate dummy who actually thought the best choice in life was not to do it... Better luck next time, sucker...!!!" A great write, a must read for all weak minds...

Writing beyond your years, such precociousness should end in a better fate. Does the victim believe she deserves to die?

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
