A Corpse Amiss

A Corpse Amiss

Silence looms on the top of my voice
As the wind hurled leaves across my face.
A dark mist of forever tickled the tip of my nose
Without a trace…without a trace!

Hard to comprehend wherever I am to be
Decipher the lines that stains my skin
Years of disillusionments weakens the hope of rebirth
Nothing to follow…nothing to follow!

Excruciating gash traced by a sharp dagger
Slits a slice as it slides to a sliver
My pale remains doesn’t cry for reprieve
The frail vestiges of a rotten cadaver!

Dehydrated my body shouts for strength
Nearly on the brink of death
Couldn’t cry as tears gone dry
Wouldn’t try as wings lost flight!

Raped by selfishness this one has to endure
Left untangled, strangled, broken and confused
No one’s touch ever given the best recourse
My knowledge knows only one that would ease this remorse.

Never has death bellowed deep laments of mourn
To finally abet these chains of great sorrow
Yet a hand has unearthed to reach out to the sun
Waiting for the one that brings life back to this tired one!

This piece is filled with a desire to live, a desire to feel, and a desire to love. Very well done - 10 from me

Impressive in all it's morbid glory...so beautiful are your words for they make an infinite thought of self expression so abrasive and crude, yet so soft and subtle in its finality..indeed phoenix you have talent worthy of praise...worthy of praise.

Wow, this is very nicely done. I'm confused at the fact that so many ppl write stuff about ending it all, committing suicide and the like.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
