A Curse

A Curse

You see me laugh and sing

But the truth is you don’t know a thing.

When I’m home alone I cry and cry.

I think to myself why me? Why?

With all my heart I truly cared about you.

Now I walk around aimlessly wondering what to do.

People try to comfort me but I ignore what they tell me.

I wish they would leave me alone and let me be.

You were mine; I had you forever to keep.

You’re gone now and forever I will weep.

My mind is numb my heart is worse.

Will I ever be able to get rid of this curse?
