A Dangerous Love
Love is a question best left unanswered.A sickness, no cure. Much like a cancer.
You give and you give.
You don't ever take.
You're a mouse crawling into
The mouth of a snake.
As the sun slowly sinks
To the last rays of light
You're surrounded and swallowed
By the blackness of night.
You struggle to swim.
Flailing and splashing.
You're gasping for air.
The waves keep on crashing.
You wait for the storm
To finally blow by.
The rain is torrential,
Taking over the sky.
The craziest part,
The wildest of all
In the midst of the torture
Still you stand tall.
You get up and run
Back at it again.
Hoping and praying
That this time you'll win.
You need it, you crave it
Depsite all the pain.
So you grab your umbrella.
You dance in the rain.
Love is insane.
It will rip you apart.
I try, but it just won't
Let go of my heart.
