A Dream Away

A Dream Away

When I rest my eyes
The daggers lift from my spirit
Reality forgets my demise
Surrenders in my battle with the pain

This place I know so fondly
Where a smile cannot be questioned
And words come softly
Somewhere beyond a broken galaxy

Simply, I am starving
For a love I never knew
While my heart crusades at your marveling
Where the most beautiful of roses grew

Please, do not take me away
If I die here I will be happy
I will never see the light of a bitter day
Where no sun of mine is a copy

Don't miss me.
I am a dream away.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
