A Drink
Today I saw a weeping willow tree
looking so regal and mighty to me.
Leaning over and taking a drink
made me stop, rest awhile and think.
How thirsty was the weeping willow tree
as hot and parched as me?
Stretching to reach that tiny drink
did the weeping willow also think?
Of days gone by and past renewed
of how the clear blue water did soothe.
Oh friend of mine weeping willow tree
tomorrow I shall be back once again to see.
