    A LITTLE MORE TIME

    (For a friend who died)

I know I neglect the things I should do
But I haven"t the time to see my
    thoughts through
Maybe tomorrow I'll get that done
    I'll go see this friend
    Or maybe that one

    A little more time
For that friend that I lost
    Just a little more time
    Now I pay the cost

    Making a living
    I live day to day
    I haven't the time
so I look the other way
    Hey, he needs someone
    Maybe a friend
    But I haven't the time
It's all come to an end

    A little more time
For that friend that I lost
    Just a little more time
    Now I pay the cost

If I fully understand the definition of an anaphora, then Phantom has effectively used this device to reinforce birtter regret in this lament entitled "A LITTLE MORE TIME". . My rating for faultless poetic craftmanship is a full 10.

Certainly something we all need to think about. What are the really important things in life. We all need to slow down sometime and appreciate and pay homage the world around us. Very good message and nicely expressed.

so true, guilty also. great poem, love it. sending a powerful message to all of us.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
