A Lost Mind

A lost mind
Insanity-audacity
in between's capacity
to undertand, appreciate
the unexplained great debate.
You ask me right
you say I'm wrong.
Opinions never stay too long.
The world is twisting,
knotting tight
does anyone know wrong or right?
Morality is self-defined
insanity is quite benign.
When looking to the rules of life,
you see they're cut with jagged knife.
Wondering how to stay afloat
when problems hang around your throat.
The past has clearly left it's scars
the hand of time another farce.
The healing hand has scratched you deeper
it's time you met your friend, the Reaper.

Awesome Write! The last line caught me off guard completely, and fits perfectly. Nice work!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
