    this still feels so true to me each time I read it.

    A Lover Knows

    A Lover Knows

     

    Like dust on a flower and a velvety kiss

     A shiver in the darkness

     

    Passion grows from depths of souls

    A past of lovers young and old

     

    Life is not simple, but complex and heinous

    Charged with anxiety, regret, intravenous

     

    Intoxicating, fearless as love begins

    A world on lover’s breath depends

     

    To thrive to go beneath below

    a tender balance a lover knows

    I reaaaalllly love this one!...It's simply complicated in its delivered meaning and communicates well how lovers who are truly and deeply connected with one another are just that!

    I hope you don't mind this comment. I like this poem. The first and second stanza {{bravo}} the third stanza sounds a bit forced and contrived. It regains momentum in the fouth and fifth stanza. A couple typo's: Change breathe to breath. and the plural of lovers possessive would be lovers' lover's would be singular possessive.

    Thanks for your constructive comments I will change the spelling and look at the third stanza to seek improvement s soon as I can edit.
