a new silence

a new silence

I.  silent regret
broken by your gaze
of immunity
your subtle touch
abates my insecurity
as my broken heart
reaches for your healing
my hands
find
redemption

II.  falling fast
at the
sound of
your voice

and i stand
before you
helpless
i am back
where i started
honesty is all i have
for you
i can tell you about hurt
and pain and loss
but
i can teach you
what love is
and as you sit before me
arms open
i can only stare

III.  silent words release
a sigh
from my lips
an escape from
my confusion
and i no longer feel
misunderstood
a balance
i embrace
lying in your arms
your flawless touch
fingertips hold
soft longings
pretensions unspoken
moments unwritten

So many unspoken words to say in the midst of loves unchanging hand. I enjoyed your write.

I trully enjoy reading your carefully chosen words as they seem a perfect fit in your expression .kudos!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
