    A Place Called Depression

    Away from civilization
    Anything I ever knew
    In foreign lands
    A place called depression

Running with feet that are standing still
    I'm drowning in invisible waters
Gasping for air that I can't breathe
    I don't know what's happening to me

Alone in a place and denied all hope
    So desolate, attempting to cope
Alone in this horrid place inside my head
My heart screams "I'm sorry I've caused you this dread"

    Things are changing, happiness gone
This new phenomenon, this thing to mourn
Days passing too slowly and quickly together
I've learned that happiness doesn't last forever

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
