A pound of flesh

A pound of flesh

It’s sickening, this thickening indifference

While self proclaimed fathers abandon daughters

and break homes to be heart breakers

These snakes and globe trotters

Chasing sleazy needs

Dirty deeds contracting new diseases

At modern day speak easies loosening their “leashes”

But the so called need to cut lose is facetious

Just another excuse for a sorry excuse of a man

Pounding rounds of poison

A pound of soul for a pound of flesh

Just to pound flesh with the opposite sex

Setting stones and foot holds for their seeds to follow

But the path they set’s on hollow ground

It won’t sustain the life of generations

Degenerates generate the fall of nations

For a season of good vibrations

Five senses attack defenses against the hate of lust

Burning slow before the ashes cool to turn to dust

No longer living or learning, just burning slow

You’re not living longer you’re just burning slow

You’re just burning slow

Well done, I see this is a raw piece too, like mine :) Thanks for the read.
