    A Prayer-Internal Storm

My heart is torn, ripped asunder! Each terrible beat shakes me through as if roars of thunder.

I lay prostrate and pray aloud 'Stop the pain,! bring Her back again!' Eerie silence... Then it starts to rain.

Excellent word usage. "Ripped" connotes so much brief, brutal release of destructive energy. The rest is a survivor's soliloquay through the shock. A nasty, nasty picture, painted alternately with broad swashing strokes and fine points of color. Well done.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
