    A quiet revolution

    This is a quiet revolution
But it’s not against my fellow man, or a collective institution
No, this is a quiet revolution and I’ve found the solution
It’s that I am the problem, I am better than no one, my battle is not against what people do or say, it’s against myself and how I am so easily swayed, broken integrity, flawed reasoning, justification by lame rationalization Self centered excuses, This is a quiet revolution, blaming others is useless,
I’m done with this futile dance, my biggest problem is myself, Not my circumstance
I’ve found the only way to win is to simply give in, yes I am the problem, the problem is within
Yes I am the problem, the problem is sin, this is a quiet revolution against the enemy within
I already know way too much as it is (really, too much for my own damn good)
This is a quiet revolution and it’s been a long time coming, really it felt as if it never would
Make much of a difference, I mean, I’m only one man who doesn’t understand what he already knows
This is a quiet revolution, and anybody knows, the plight of the one man army at war against himself
Under siege, attacked at every angle, by a myriad of excuses, everything from lust to greed to the lie about my life being useless, yes the onslaught is ruthless, his whereabouts is elusive, though the culprit is exlusive and his attacks are more than intrusive…..
It’s like standing in the middle of a densely thick forest of giant redwood trees, when suddenly they all begin to fall simultaneously…..what do you do? Obviously escape is impossible……what I need is something bigger than the trees….what I need is something bigger than me….what I need is someone to break these chains and set me free from this prison of me
