A silent Prayer

A silent Prayer

As I fall to my knees and pray,
I wonder if you'll hear me today.

I've tried so hard to understand why you did what you did that one summers day...

My knees have bleed from all the times I've prayed.

I've cried so much, my tears could fill an ocean...
Yet still I show you such great devotion.

I know in my heart that you hear my plea.
Just as I know what your answer will be.

So here I stay down on blood stained knees, my heart is broken for the world to see.

So I'll continue to bleed and stay down on my knees,
A Silent prayer.... Just between you and me...

I like the earnest prayer and how you ask God for help; I think God will answer your prayer without you hurting your knees. And I like the metaphor of the tears and the ocean. Your prayers should be answered. Very good poem!

Great poem! One little thought though, God does not do these things to us, WE do them to ourselves. Ya know? This world has been set in motion, as well as the beings on it, to do as they will to themselves and to each other...to a point. You are a goooood writer! Keep on keeping on honey!

Very emotional and affecting. Nobody ever said faith was easy; nothing worthwhile ever is. Great job, Kris.

Great job Kristina......I love the flow...the emotional connection with the written words is amazing......

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
