    Poem Commentary

    This Prayer is part of a larger project currently in progress. Therefore it is copyrighted.

    A Soul's Prayer

    When it is all over, that we are able to love;
    At times, there can be much darkness, pain, and suffering
    Some out of hate, some out of lies but all out of ignorance
    Help us to realize that we are perfect and that it is our limited perspectives
    That creates our imperfections
    Help us to realize who we really are as loving spiritual beings
    Cause us to remember the forgotten and reclaim what is lost
    Let us not continue to rob from each other what the universe gives so freely;
    At the end, I pray, that your soul will smile and say
    ‘I remember who I am and what I came to do. In doing so, I now know all that I have come to know and I am satisfied in the knowing and the doing of it all, I seek no more like a restless spirit for what was never lost and want for nothing more but to be at rest in The Great Spirit.’
    I pray this prayer in the name of the unnamed God who lives in all of our hearts by the power of the Holy Spirit who is our true selves.
    Amen
