A Sunset Thought

A Sunset Thought

I feel her tender touch

And I know what it’s like

To watch that hand walk away

All my Heart knows is abandonment

I’m not a failure

I’m not unhappy

True Happiness is True Love

I’m lonely and I know the bitter sting of loneliness

I retreat to the Sunset

This is the place where everything I’ve lost

Washes up in the Heart

And I can reconnect

With the memories I miss most

Be with the ones I Love and Lost

A hole in Time

With the fading colors

I take a quiet minute

To reflect on what I’ve learned

In my life

Every breath a gift

Every smile priceless

Every Love a Queen

Every Desire a Princess

I’ve reached out to only one

To be understood

A real Beauty

Before GOD takes me from this world

The one that has my Heart in the Sunset

Is the one who never asked for it

My Heart Lives here

In the Sunsets

My Hidden place

For all of Time

From anywhere in the world

I hope the one I'm writing about doesnt disappear anytime soon, she's healed so many of the scares without the intent of doing so, but none the less she's a blessing in my Heart!

I liked the poem had to read it twice to get the real meaning. I hope u find that person in the sunset that can make it rise again.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
