    a tragedy

a tragedy that cost us many lives
that reminded us the price that we must pay
for our freedom in this country
two of our greatest buildings fell
from planes taken over by terrorists
people fought to get out in time
but ended up being engulfed in flames
or spattered on the cement below
the streets were covered in dust
and debree from the fallen buildings
bodies were lost in the fall and buried
    under the fallen debree
it was a tragedy that cost us greatly
and caused us to shed many tears
we are going to rise above this
but we will always remember the proce
that we paid on that fatefull day
when the twin towers fell to the ground
it was a tragedy that cost us many lives
    and we will never forget
