A walk on the beach

A walk on the beach

As I walk along the beach,
I feel the wind through my hair and face,
I hear the crashing of the waves along the shore.

As I keep walking along I see the stars,
Glowing in the sky like brightly lite candles,
As I walk along the beach,
I am thinking about the love we share.
How I fell in love with you,
How I took the dare.

I think of how my heart holds you deeply,
How I will forever and always care.

I know I will have you for a lifetime,
A life time of walks on the beach...

Beautiful poem! I love the way you describe the love song, the crashing waves and the stars as candles. A lovely simile, I make it one of my favorites.

This is a beautiful poem, sunshine. You are very fortunate to have found that love. I once did but lost it.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
