A Work In Progress

A Work In Progress

Started as a small seed
Planted and dearly cared for
Seeking guidance when in need
Overcoming obstacles and trials
Surviving the pitfalls
Remembering that in life
there is no reason to speed
A work in progress,
I am in this to succeed
Being put to the test I will spring up;
I will give my best, I will not complain
Though at times troubles flow
like fresh day rain
Echoes from the past
Trying it's best to destroy
Being worked on undercover
I am a work in progress
I will survive; I will succeed
I am a awork in progress

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
