    Abduction

My stomach drops as I lay in bed
A strong urge to tear down my curtains
leads me to a complete view of our solar system
    Planets and time whiz by
Not afraid but I wonder where I'm headed
    and what is guiding me
I begin to wonder if I'm alone on this journey
and am answered with the long line of houses, condos, vehicles, and apartments
    leading into a black hole
Too much mystery to be surprised by whatever happens next
    I'm going back to bed
Until a knock at the door
    Until I cease to exist

    nice poem,

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
