    Poem Commentary

    This poem is basically a prayer of patience and strength to see me through these trying times.

    Abyss

    Abyss

    The more time that goes by
    The more I wonder why
    The more I try
    Silently I cry
    With each day
    Seconds slip away
    Restless in the bed at night I lay
    Please My Lord I pray
    May tomorrow be the day
    I am lost in an abyss
    Swimming in a sea of nothingness
    Day after day asking myself "why is this?"
    I have changed my life
    I try to live right
    Though I am tired, I continue to fight
    I fight the demons within
    Taunting me to sin
    As the devils sits on my shoulder and grins
    Lord remind me

    "I beat him before and I can beat him again"

    i have to say i really enjoyed this... the flow was very good and rhythem set the entire mood for the peice... nicely written
