    Accept it


    Feeling free in a world of non believers

    Dry your eyes from your fear

    Love the ones that you learn from the deepest

    The ones that soar in your soul

    I can’t fight with myself no more

    I have to face the truth

    Blocking pain is no cure its just ignoring

    Accept it is the key



    Accept yourself that’s one that really matters

    You aren’t perfect just who is

    Telling yourself that nothing really matters

    That’s a lie and you will always know

    Accept it and grow



    Your defence is just a shadow

    Allowing emptiness to play

    Accept it and Grow

    Or you will never know

    I was a little misled at first. I thought your poem started off with a defeatist attitude, but its direction quickly changed to a positive one. I think true self acceptance is being realistic about what you have to work with, because you can't make true progress based on a false image. If you can master that then there are literally no limits. A very well expressed message!

    In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
