© St. Joseph (A true Dad)
Though you were'nt his biological Father
You were there and was His Dad
Ill bet He could'nt have wished for another
with your loving strength, surely He was glad.
You loved Him as your own child
despite not knowing from where He came
with what you taught, He endured many trials
you loved Him as the other kids, just the same.
He was very wise, wiser than most elders
He saw the things they could not see
He fostered a way and gave us shelter
learning from your foundations He calmed seas.
Through you His inner Light was revealed
it helped Him know where to begin
you, the Father approved with God's seal
He learned to show that with Love one can win.
So when you see Him hanging on the cross
think who He owes his backbone to
He bore the world and our moral loss
Joseph reared Him to be the Truth.
