    “Making Love to a Reflection”

She sleeps with her pearly arms
Which coiled between silk like silent snakes
Shift like sugar in the morning rays

    Awakened

Standing in front of the glass heated with circles of flesh
    Sinuous mounds of feminine dress
With eyes like coal in the heat of Winter’s fire
    Blinding with her Venusian power
Beckoning all the sins of passion and carnage
    Mortal Desire

To take heed, to feel her by stream
A maiden pure and burning with dangerous reprieve
Oh at last, she is in my arms!
Breathing quick with fire and devilish alarm

Twirling in whirls of skin and salt
Shadows twist on the walls of the vault
In which light dare not enter
We wilt together in the dunes
    Of Time, of Love ephemeral,
    A siren tune

    Duplicated, Her tiger eyes glare
Like Medusa in the darkest cave; she commands my stare
Though with second glance, she was never there
The light never flirted with her chestnut hair
Dormant In the grains of the Carnal Desert which few
    Voyage
    There
Quenched by her flowing Lair now subdued

Beware the Tigress with her wild wicked hair!
    Her sumptuous flare!
    Her pitted glare!
Spreading Beauty unlike others would dare

    But for now

She lays, cold yet still fragrant in the flowers of Love
In the embrace of sleep which grasps tightly and shoves
    The face of Heaven
    The eyes of Serpent

    What womanhood so inflamed
Now rests in the Oasis of Dreams?
    In Vain
In which all can be heard are sour screams?

    Ah, poor lady of Lust
Tempted by the evils of man and bust
Treated to the delicious reflection she sighs
For the moment when her lips meet mine in surprise

    Another wench in the glass
    Pays her visit at last
Throws the cup at her, spilling the wine
Drunk last at nine, she now sees a swine

nice... very nice... erotic, but clean.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
