    Afterglow

A musky aroma permeates the air
Glistening skin sparkles in soft light
    Heavy Breathing accentuates dialogue
I love you ~ spoken freely
    Sincerely
    Enthusiastically

For a little while, the rest
    Of the world just disappears
When it's just you and me
Wrapped up lovingly like a precious gift
The two of us ~ with all that we are
    All that we need
    All that we desire

A few moments of silence follows ~
We both know that's the sound
    Of afterglow

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
