    Aim for the Stars

    When i was younger,
    i had so many dreams,
    they all faded away,
or this is just how it seems.
    I once was eager,
    had a desire to succeed,
    wanted everything in life,
    that i would ever need.
I would aim for the stars,
and wind up on the moon,
thought i had all the time in the world,
said i'd start my goals soon.
    I wish i had someone,
    to push me everyday,
I was watching the moments pass me by,
and i was the only one standing in the way.
    I'm not gonna tell you,
    whats wrong or whats right,
but if you keep thinking big,
all your possibilities will be in sight.
I know now that i can see,
    but once i was blind,
this is the moment of truth in my life,
i wish i didn't have to leave my hopes and dreams behind.
    From here and there,
    and from now and then,
I never knew were i was going,
but always knew where i've been.
There is another side of my life,
    that i may never see,
i realize all of this now,
and there has got to be something out there for me.
