    Poem Commentary

Certain things should be left for dead..........

    Alas No More

    Sacrificed lament
         each precious hour
              freely offered to the Gods

                   Alas no more

    Petulant promiscuity
         crying on the floor
              once a proud flower

                   Alas no more

    Flippant wisdom
         aging kindness frayed
              dying with every passing hour

                   Alas no more

    Lies perching
         lined up by four
              patiently waiting seemingly bored

                   Alas no more

    Patriarchal patrician
         quite insane indeed
              parading, lost on memory lane

                   Alas no more

    Small promises
         repulsive recluse proper
              marching unkempt pain

                   Alas no more

    Spoken truth
         trailing behind the main
              silenced from a babe

                   Alas no more

    Prolific prejudice
         complacent slothful laggard
              struggle with all your might

                   Alas no more

    Radiant fear
         sparked among the innocent
              rapacious rampant niggling

                   Alas no more
                        Alas no more
                             Alas no more

So well expressed, you told a story of being tired of senseless things that you will no longer allow in your life

this has a unique quality to it. and not becauseof the word placement. i think the way you've done it is unique but it took some of the power away from this piece in my eyes, but this piece had plenty to spare. It was full of I aint taking this shit no more and i loved it for that. great job.

Sounds like a religious chant Lucky...are you a monk...or thinking of becoming one? Can't see it dude. I think you tapped your ancestral lines for this one. Very rhytmic, almost gothic. I liked it. Alot of big words..lol. Great write my friend. Keep the verbage flowing...Check out my new one Anissa? Is That You? It might spark a fond memory. Ciao for now. Kevin

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
