    All I've Caused

I caused the emptiness, I caused the pain.

I took away the sunshine and replaced it with rain.

I caused the loneliness, I caused the ache.

I took away the strength and gave it a point to break.

I caused the sadness, I caused the despair.

I took away the trust and ripped up every layer.

I caused the exile, I caused the guilt.

I took away the freedom and everything that we had built.

I caused the doubts, I caused the fears.

I took away the smiles and replaced them all with tears.

I caused the depression, I caused the void.

I took away the future and left it all destroyed.

I caused the departure; I caused it all to end.

I took away my lover and then I took away my friend.

the question now is what happens next? sometimes hard lessons leave us stuck...or can you embrace change and move on? regret is one thing, self-castigation another. you've a real gift for phrasing, the rhythm is near perfect.... 10

Wow. Thats a very strong poem. Its an excellent poem. Great job.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
