    Alone At Night
    I lie awake afraid of the dreams
    I end up waking to my own screams

    I have had them too many times before
    I am so scared and shaken to the core

    I hate being alone in my home
    I jump at every sound even one from my phone

    I check the locks all night long
    I can't stand my husband being gone

    I finally start to close my eyes
    I know the sun is about to rise

    I know sleep is something I can no longer fight
    I feel safe here in the light
