    Alone
    Why do I feel so alone?
    I should put up more of a fight
    I have a right to a happy life
    I wish you could see inside my mind
    What a sad sight

    Look, there's a little girl
    Waiting to be found
    Too afraid to cry aloud
    even as she's screaming inside
    Terrified of the beast
    Who considered her innocence his feast

    Then there's a young lady
    whose name is "Sadie"
    She doesn't want you baby
    A declaration of love she can not take
    Can't let anyone get too close
    You might see the tears she tries so hard to hide
    You may realize her toughness is just an act

    You will never know me inside
    I prefer to be alone
    I don't feel comfortable in my own skin
    Will I ever know what happiness is?

    This poem touch me deep, I can relate to your inside pain. I to was a little girl who hide on the inside. for me it was my safe place. I amend you for your courage to revile your enter most parts my God bless you and keep you always.

    I think is a very good poem it comes from within It tells alot about everyday event and it has a lot of meaning and substance to it, it's very appealling , I personally like it a lot grecowong@yahoo.com

    I doubt I will know what happiness is. Too much fight in me. I feel as you, tho. They will never know me inside. It would take more work than they care to give. Most of them, anyway. I relate much to this piece. Well worded.
