    Alone

    I sit here, alone.
Lost in a train of thought
Wondering when I will be lost.
    I sit here, alone.
    Eyes are bloodshot red,
Due to all of my sorrowful tears being shed.
    I sit here, alone.
    Waiting for him to come
The one man that I know is the one.
    I sit here, alone.
Wishing for a miracle to come knock on my door.
While I sit here on the cold, hard floor.
    I sit here, alone.
    Willing to share my past.
Quickly before the sand runs out in my hourglass
    I sit here, alone.
Knowing that you’ll be there for me.
So that one day, my misery will be set free.

Great poem! I only hope that the person or persons will be there for you and you'll no longer sit there...alone

Aww, thank you. And I hope so too. One day.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
