America Rise

I'm sick of this world i cant seem to get ahead.no place to minister the thoughts that run through a poets head.i try each day to make my life count and be heard, will someone please listen these are not just words.each day a young child dies and leaves his family to grieve how can you kill a kid this world is so make belief.the economy sucks and is going down fast.do i live in the future or stay stuck in the past.when you can sit on the porch all night and not have to hear a gun blast. Then the voice of a man screamed free at  last,he shook up the world with the sound of his voice.and left the change to be the peoples choice.and the woman that was made to go to the back of the bus,she stood her ground and and implemented change for us.men and women that have served this country for years, living on the streets  eating garbage in tears.do we stop and help or do we pass them by I'm so sick of this nonsense America Rise.how about the single mother stuck on drugs knowing her history beaten raped and abused by thugs,so quick to judge and ignore the cry for help, she screams, help me please through the smoke of the pipe, afraid to stop drugging  because it has become her life.a little girls gets pregnant and afraid to give birth, so she hides the pregnancy and thinks of the worse.no one to talk to and see things through her eyes. Here we go again America Rise,And then history was made the first black president, many said he wouldn't come through with it.so afraid of his color and that he would change the world, im sick of all the hate jealousy and lies, If we stick together we will witness America Rise.

I'm impressed with the way you put yourself in the shoes of the forgotten and less fortunate.

Not bad for an angry black woman. Historical, direct, imaginative work. Shows intelligence, passion and a true american voice. Gimme more like this!
