    America

    The milky skies and the rolling waves of green,
    How I’m caught helplessly in the midst of this dream
    Cool air swirls through our hair, not a worry insight
    And not a moment of despair- I haven’t felt this anywhere;
    Ahh! the American countryside,
    What Earthly structures,
    And what long hilly drives
    What jagged mountains,
    And what a thrill it is to be alive

    Sunny skies and the escape from life’s lies
    The soft lolling of the emerald seas,
    Wild wavy plains- And far off city lights;
    What wonder, and what fright
    Being here now, not yesterday,
    Nor tomorrow-
    Not a single regret, not a speck of sorrow

    The narrow dusky roads
    And pearly stars glistening in the night-
    The mysterious shimmering moon,
    And the poetic visions of the unknown;
    Nature’s beauty dancing in divine fashion,
    And the satisfaction of my mind expansion
    The lonely inner state roads and rumbling highways

    Lonely green forests
    And the shadows flickering through the branches,
    A vast array of different species-
    And their endeavors both day and night;
    Spooky dimly lit neon signs,
    And the beckoning lonely vacancies-
    Misty rains, and the holy snow;
    Sandy beaches, and barren deserts,
    The red, brown, and yellow leaves of the dying year

    Crystal caves and white water canyons
    Great lakes and fierce storms-
    Reckless tornadoes and the howl of turbulent hurricanes,
    Grass lands and great red woods,
    The blue wondrous sky, and the puffy white clouds;
    The spirit of the land saturates our souls
    And our minds are naturally freed,
    What a lovely land it is I’ve see,
    What a lovely land for you and me.
