     A divorce can be so inspirational!  :-)




    Let me introduce you
    to life as I know it.
    I don't think you two
    have ever met.

    Here, on this park bench
    basking in the sun,
    life held out its hand to me.

    I took it, not knowing
    the evil underneath
    the depression within,
    so cloaked in promise.

    Now it's mine
    to give, or keep
    to fester, or release
    to share, or imprison.

    A drug
    something to stop the falling
    the itching
    the caring

    Maybe the sight of it all
    will finally eat me alive,
    and find me willing,
    letting go.
