    Today I made a professional man laugh

    What’s next?

    Why maybe tomorrow I will dine with the king and queen

    Something happens between now and then, from the first hello with a smile to the moment I take off my clothes and stare at myself in the mirror.

    My self-esteem is like the unknown variable between the brackets, just begging to be isolated and solved.

    And when I am known, then what will I represent besides a very puzzling equation in the midst of other terms?

    I like how you make it formulized. Showing a very distinct difference between the smiling meeting and the naked stare at the mirror. Confidence seems a constant moving meter, never a caught, stilled focus. Ironic how we go about our lives trying to figure ourselves out, yet we hide the fact that we are trying to figure ourselves out and are forced to pretend we know it all. Society and its indoctrinated fear. A shorter poem than I've seen from you but still as potent in its meaning. You think deeply. Well written.

    I just wanted to let you know that when I do have time to write I really do value you prolific words of wisdom. I am trying so hard to find myself that sometimes I feel that I am an empty vessel connected to nothing. Thank you for always stopping by and shining a little light on me. It means the world to me!
