And So They Burned

They embrace, uninhibited, mechanical, raw, amongst fire,
they’re serving here for serving Desire
Marius, for nourishing soul, Lucia for nurturing the divine,
both for seducing reason, neither for possessing the mind
Such dark love, they moan, drowning screams,
the angry flames crackle but they’re not listening,
as was the case when Minerva ruled from Her chair
that the greatest of pleasures were no longer theirs
The granite walls glisten, casting red glow on the skin
Hell’s candlelight and two Nephilims
Their sweat as flames flicker, eyes of piercing lust interlock
the sand and stone beneath their naked bodies burns hot
His lips, teeth and tongue working feverishly on her thighs,
adrift in a hunger and passion entwined,
He wants all of her at once, to taste her in Heart ,
as if to say “Not as you were, or could be, but are.”
Lucia whispers “This is but human, and the pleasure ours!”
And so they measure love not in faith, but rather in hours
The fire pits erupt and flames lick at their feet
as the cruel pit of Hades so viciously peaks
At last the euphoric cries escape, fly, flutter and burn…
but neither were they his, and nor were they hers
