Poem Commentary

Lasting Love and Fantasy Lives On.

Angels Had Songs

Angels Had Songs

Angels had songs and they sung them to me

I knew of you and you knew of me

Dust off your fallen pride

Mend the torn

I will spread my wings, shelter you from the fiery storm

Look into my eyes, see my soul

We have known each other since days of old

Beyond the darkness and the fright

There is beauty, bliss and light

We are meant to share all this

We are at the precipice

Do not let go of my hand, I will not let you fall

Survivors we are, we walk before we crawl

Stand fast with me

Break free from all anxiety

Ahead the lovely gates, nestled in the morning light

Our destiny awaits, just within our sight

A wondrous acclaim of solace and sacrifice, in the gait of tenderly set phrase and imagery

This world in which we reside, man’s creational myth, is but a stepping stone into eternal bliss. Your poetic incantation is a spiritual reminder that faith, hope and peace await out passing from this world into that of eternity.

Wow, thanks for that perspective. i appreciate you reading it and your commentary.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
