    Anger- be careful

    The spirit enters within;
    and one spark sets a flame.
    The tongue morphs to a serpent,
    as poison enters the veins.
    Beauty becomes as naught
    -the red rose fade.
    Death seeks advances;
    while the spears of words are raised.
    The tempter knows our weaknesses.
    We should be careful, lest we fall.
    We should be mindful of our conversations,
    conduct, and character with all
    brethren, and sisters alike,
    for none of us live without flaws.
    We should remember the Christ.
    Lest we set snares
    yet we ourselves fall.

    Its so easy. So easy to get lost in it all. I am coming to grips that one simply can't do it alone. Too much for one man to bear. Being around the right people can help to shoulder this burden we face daily. Eyes wide open here. A piece that reminds us how easy it is to be provoked.

    This is awesome! I loved it...so true the temper is a weakness. It is not a sin to be angry, as I'm sure you know. It is a sin to be angry and enjoy the false feelings of power through temper. The bible says: "Be ye angry and sin not.".....I am happy to have found you, JaLaw. I am going to enjoy reading you.

    I haven't visited you page in quite a while. This poem is excellent. The rhyming is amazing. The flow is beautiful. The spirit enters within; and one spark sets a flame, the tongue morphs to a serpent, as poisen enters the veins - simply amazing. I look forward to reading more. Thank you for sharing. Great piece. A perfect ten.

    Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
