Poem Commentary

Children gather around to hear another story about Christmas. Then children question the" X"- mas. In our math, X= the unknown. And of course the merchants (Shepherds) are making big profits, Commercials leaving out the reason for the season..

ANOTHER CHRISTMAS STORY

You have probably heard this story
Because, It's been told in many ways,
How we celebrate the Savior's birth
Who fill's our holidays.

The shepherds heard the news that night
It could have been, on channel ten,
Somewhere in the city of Bethlehem
Would find a leader of all men.

So, In their haste to hurry
Was this star of beauty bright,
To guide and help to find
The new King to be born that night.

WOW! What a night for miracles
So as this story goes,
Comes a little fat man called "Santa"
And a deer with a shining nose.

He found a snowy roof-top
Down the chimney he fell,
With a big sack of toys for the girls and boys
And, of course,"Another Christmas Story to tell.

And in the house was a Christmas tree
With light hanging all around,
Could be seen by customers
And shepherds from out of town.

So they gathered at this manger
As the harkend angels sing,
To tell a true old story
Of Christ, Our New Born King

To all our friends, far and near
My heartfelt wish, not new,
Put CHRIST back in our Christmas
And have a MERRY CHRISTMAS TOO!

This is a fine Christ story of the true meaning of our celebration, well stated. Love, peace and freedom, Olan.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
