Anxiety

Anxiety

A pin dropping
A mighty roar
My head's throbbing
I can't take more
The light dimming
It burns my eyes
My mind's racing
It fills with lies
My stomach churns
Anxiety.
No telling what
The future holds
Surprise is but
Another source of
Anxiety.
The clock, it stops
The world slows down
And my heart drops
Anxiety.
I feel my pulse
It skips a beat
And I choke up
Can't take the heat
Anxiety.

very relatable and I love how you broke it down and left Anxiety by itself really drove the point home.

Thanks!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
