    Poem Commentary

    The fake glamourous lie that some people know as life.

    Artificial

     She hides behind her makeup,
    her lipgloss, mascara and blush.
    Her only freind is the latest trend,
    just to shop gives her a rush.
    No one knows what she feels,
    her emotions she never shows,
    The only place she feels at home,
    is the place where she buys her clothes.
    She will always be stuck there,
    in the fake glamour of life,
    Never knowing that she's stuck
    in an artificial lie.

    You have a ton of insight and you demostrate that well in your poetry. I wrote a poem similar to this (Alter Ego). Definite 10 from me.

    Yep. Crying behind the smile. Frustrated behind the calm. It makes you wonder who really IS happy? You damn near have to demand respect for every damn thing you do nowadays. Its tiring. And where something real doesn't love you, something artificial will stand with open arms saying (come to me, I have all that you need.) Sad. Enjoyed the piece.
