    Poem Commentary

Poem wrote and read to my husband on our wedding day.

    As I Stand Here

As I stand here looking in your eyes, it is like looking towards heaven through the clouds in the sky.

I gave you my heart when you came into my life, I accept your ring as I become your wife.

As I stand here beside you I promise you this, all my vows will go unbroken as I seal them with my kiss.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
