Ask Me Again

Ask Me Again

Ask me again

I’ll tell you whatever you want to know

Though I’m scared of how you will react

If I let my true feelings show

Ask me again

I’ll say exactly what’s on my mind

I won’t walk around on eggshells

Or sugar coat things this time

Ask me again

I’ll let you in on my life

Tell you about my stress and worries

And believe you when you say everything will be all right

Ask me again

I’ll tell you how I really feel

How I care much more than you realize

And how I wonder if this is real

Ask me again

And I’ll tell you how you fill my dreams

Though you may think that I am distant

Things aren’t always as they seem

Ask me again

And I’ll tell you what you want to hear

Ask me again

And I’ll hand you my heart

Ask me again

And we can start over brand new

Please just ask me again

Excellent poem Leggz! Sometimes we don't get that second chance to be open and honest thats why its always best to start out that way!

Nice poem about the plea of communication in a relationship. I liked this, it had a good flow to it. Good job.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
