Auschwitz

Auschwitz

Faces in the breeze

the place is so full of unease

crying, screaming, terrorfying looks

Stuff that are made of books

Silence replaces the scene

Walking through it makes you want to scream

chambers full of eerily frights

things that make you go bump in the night

Past so present you can't deal

the sounds of Auschwitz makes you squeal

I was there in 84. Lived in Germany for three years. It is one experience I am glad I went through but couldn't do it again. Auschwitz was a once in a lifetime kind of experience for me thank you for reading my poems

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
