    bad rhyme....

You won't find happiness at the bottom of a glass
Peace of mind isn't at your beck and call
You can't be tender and still be crass
sooner or later, you gotta take the fall

The path to becoming a real human being
    with feelings, laughter and tears
must be walked sober to mean anything
and will force you to face your fears

    The sorrow you've caused
    your loved ones to feel
    the pain in their hearts
    will take time to heal

    But as they say,
each morn begins a new day
a chance to do your best
    lay those demons to rest

    And when you recall
    the battles you had won
or the times you had fallen
    started back at square one

To be free of that addiction
that has caused you such strife
is worth all the pain it took
    to get back your life..

Fantastic. Cuz I understand how powerful those demons are

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
