    My husband says he can't take me anywhere..

    Barbecue This

     

    I don’t like them

    Boring people with boring lives

    Playing how great is my kid

    Or worse

    Let’s compare lives

    I have a boat, I have a Porsche, I have a truck

    So do I, so do I, so do I.

    Let me tell you about my new business, sports apparel, made in the Philippines, it’s cheaper there.

    Gonna make good money.

    Oh great, we nod, we lie

    Is it time to go yet?
     No.

    Then pour me another drink.

    He whispers, Why are you so quiet?

     I’m nicer that way.

    But people will think you are stuck up.

    Your first mistake is assuming I give a shit what they think.

    Can’t you at least try?

    Fuck. Fine.

    Leaning forward…

    So, this business, your sports apparel, did you choose the Philippines because it’s easier to get away with a sweat shop full of child labor there?

    Suddenly my husband decides it’s time to go after all…

    An unusual, well written work relating the depths of boredom one must suffer on occasion. I find impulsive, exciting friends are best to have .. friends whom enjoy "doing things" rather than "talking so much". Great write.

    I'm the same way Katy, I have no gift of small talk with people I don't like. So I know what this is like. I'd rather stay quiet as well and not open my mouth and embarrass those i'm with. All in all, loved the tempo and the mood! Keep it up!

    if your going to be rude or confrontational, Try to be sincere because assumptions is the quickest way to end up regretting turning to extremes, Perhaps these people Just had money, and decided to open a business and begin to pay them well, something they may not often get a chance to over there working for exployers that treat them well. Pretty cold response it's not Hard to just be nice. anyways eachy to there own,

    I don't have the gift of small talk... and it gets me in trouble everytime... so I am usually quiet..I have a hard time conversing in nonsense.. thats all..
